Navigating the Holiday Season in Your Business: A Quick Guide

Where has 2023 gone? November already! The holidays are just around the corner, Q4 will be wrapping up as soon as it started it seems, and you’re probably thinking, “how will I manage my business during the business of the holidays?”

This short, but informative read is a quick guide to being present in your business AND your family during the holiday season.

  1. Set goals!
  • What do you want to achieve this holiday season? Maybe you’re in your startup phase and looking to boost your online presence. If you’re a well-established business, this could be to top your sales from last year. Set your sights, make a plan and execute. Tip: If you haven’t already, start now!
  1. Utilize the beauty of SYSTEMS
  • For example, the HP team uses programs such as Social Pilot for scheduled social media posting, Asana for task management, and various other systems to keep us on track. It’s important to us, as it is in any business, to be sure we’re meeting expectations and deadlines during the holiday season. Create a quick holiday marketing campaign across your socials, schedule when and what to post in your preferred system, and relax!
  1. Last, but most important, accept that some things won’t get done.
  • It is okay! We are human. We can’t do it all. The holiday season is a time to cherish, and if that means sacrificing a few hours plugging away at a new business plan to share a meal with family, don’t fall to the guilt trap! You are your most important asset to your business.
